Sam Rushworth MP
The Parish Council invited Sam Rushworth MP to visit Eldon to ;isten to a number of concerns our residents have.
The MP was joined by Sgt Welsh from Aycliffe Police, Kate Ward, DCC Safer Places Officer, County Councillor Shirley Quinn, Sarah Robinson DCC Neighbourhoods and our local Parish Councillors.
Matters raised included, crime, anti social behaviour, deprivation, lack of funding for Solar Panels for the Community Centre, planning matters and empty properties.
We will be following up the meeting over the next few weeks, as it is vital for smaller Parish Councils to have a voice in the MP’s constituency.
